It has been a strange old year and many of us are yearning to jet off to some sun or winter fun but we can’t for now … the cravings persist so why not do a staycation?

As we write, our B&B offering in the Hall remains off the menu for now but our three delightful Meynell Mews self-catering cottages, each with two ensuite bedrooms, fast WIFI, secure off-street parking and couched within the enclosed, private grounds of Breedon Hall.
The Mews have been converted from a former stable block into three townhouse style properties, all identical in layout but all distinctively different by way of decoration and ceiling heights. They are very well insulated, super cozy warm, and are within easy walking distance of the village shop/Post Office, and our two village pubs The Three Horseshoes and The Hollybush Inn.
Just a stone’s throw from Breedon village, just 3 miles away, is the Georgian market town of Melbourne, itself boasting a fine hall and gardens, restaurants and pubs along with a great collection of individual and interesting independent shops - the perfect ‘shop local’ place to do your Christmas shopping. Many retailers have already embraced the trend for decorating their premises early this year and so the twinkle of lights makes for a magical backdrop to your festive spree.

I was asked recently about our cleaning systems which we know is at the forefront of many peoples’ minds at the moment and we can confirm that much care and time is put into preparing the cottages at Breedon Mews ahead of your stay, and in fact we comply with the AirBnB Cleaning Handbook.
Whilst Charlotte and I pride ourselves on offering a warm welcome, it’s a socially distanced one! More details can be found under the Covid-19 tab on the website.
As we look towards the spring, we hope not to face so many restrictions, including reopening the Hall to B&B guests and being able to show off the redecoration and work that we have done during lockdown … so much to look forward to!
