Not many people would immediately think that we here at Breedon Hall are ideally placed for a bikepacking holiday. But we probably are because of our really central location, and not only that, but possibly (if you are so inclined) for an adventurous one encompassing (parts of) the nearby Peak District.
What about picking up the Cloud Trail just outside Breedon village and pedalling off on your own somewhere uplifting, anxiety free from other road traffic? You could for example access Derby City Centre via the Cloud Trail (Sustrans Route 6, from the National Cycle Network) almost without having to use a single public road. Even the dogs could come along as the Trails are very popular dog walks. Indeed, its easy to plot your own route almost anywhere using the Sustrans website / Ordinance Survey maps etc.
