Anchor Church Walk

The Anchor Church

This is a splendid walk with something fascinating to see at the other end of it, namely the Anchor Church, or rather a set of caves hollowed out originally by the R.Trent, then enlarged by the Burdett family that used to own the land.

There is a plethora of interesting things to see around the Anchor Church/Caves, and the link below has been created by the Derbyshire Ramblers Association which beautifully and accurately guides the walker around the sites of historical and geographical interest.

There is also an informative, short YouTube video here that neatly summarises the map and everything I have put down in writing!

The site of this is about 10 miles as the crow flies from Breedon Hall and approx 15 minutes by car.
